Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Timmins – to ask the Minister for Agriculture and Food the steps he intends to take in response to the damage being caused to the agricultural sector by the ongoing severe weather conditions; and if he will make a statement on the matter; (2) Deputy Deenihan – services being provided for Kerry breast cancer patients at the oncology unit at Tralee General Hospital; (3) Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh – the Ardagh Glass Bottle Plant in Ringsend; (4) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin – the lack of Government funding and support for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association; (5) Deputy Rabbitte – the administration of family law as it impacts on the rights of estranged fathers; (6) Deputy Healy – the decision of Allied Irish Banks to close its Killenaule, County Tipperary branch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with effect from 18 June 2002; (7) Deputy Boyle – that the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment address the effect of community employment scheme cuts in the Cork area; (8) Deputy Allen – the catastrophic effect the cuts in community employment schemes will have on the operation of community based organisations such as com munity associations, sporting organisations and community based social services; (9) Deputy Ferris – the need for the Minister for Communications, the Marine and Natural Resources to address the grave disquiet among the fishing community along the entire Irish coast at the allocation of some €70 million worth of tonnage plus kilowatts to one vessel; (10) Deputy Shortall – the implications for the Irish taxpayer of the deed of indemnity agreed on 5 June 2002 between the Ministers for Education and Science and Finance and certain religious congregations; (11) Deputy Deenihan – services being provided for Kerry breast cancer patients at the oncology unit at Tralee General Hospital; (12) Deputy Morgan – the need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to implement the regulation in the Planning and Development Act, 2001 which empowers the Minister to transfer the function of imposing planning levies from county and city managers as is currently the case, to elected members; (13) Deputy Crowe – the need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to address the renewed and growing crisis in communities, especially in Dublin, with the increased supply of heroin on the streets and the devastating social consequences; (14) Deputy Sargent – the Government's Declaration of Neutrality being brought before the Seville Summit for approval.

The matters raised by Deputies Sargent, Moynihan-Cronin, Deenihan and Ó Snodaigh have been selected for discussion.
