109 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Finance the steps he has taken to encourage members of staff in his Department to cycle to work; if his Department provides showering facilities; if his Department will supply cycle helmets to ensure safe cycling; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As part of its general provision of staff facilities, bicycle parking facilities are available for the use of my Department's staff. In addition, shower facilities are available in each of its buildings. It is considered that the provision of cycle helmets is a matter for individual staff.
