170 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if approval has been given for the refurbishment of the gym and hard surface playing area in Ballymun Junior Comprehensive; when this work will be carried out; and the cost of same. [15238/02]
Concerning the proposed refurbishment of the sports hall at Ballymun Junior Comprehensive School, the building unit of my Department is making arrangements to proceed with this project immediately. Planning of the complete refurbishment of the school is under way at present with a view to starting site works at the earliest possible date.
The Deputy will appreciate that in the interest of securing value for money it is inappropriate to publish the expected cost on this project in advance of tender action.
