Vol. 553 No. 7

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

213 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on the proposal to downgrade Temple Street Hospital by transferring all paediatric surgery to Crumlin; and if new specialities are to be consolidated by transferring services to Temple Street. [15209/02]

Services for eligible patients at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, and at the Children's Hospital, Temple Street, are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised and respond directly to the Deputy.
