237 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Transport the way in which spending in the first six months of 2002 compares to the budgeted profile for spending for each major programme of his Department's spending; and his forecast for year-end overruns. [15112/02]
I understand that the Deputy's question refers to the former Department of Public Enterprise.
The information requested by the Deputy is contained in the attached table. A cut off point of 18 June has been used given the restructuring in the Department of Transport with effect from 19 June 2002.
At present, it is anticipated that any overruns on particular programmes will be met by savings elsewhere on the Vote. As the Deputy will appreciate, this Vote will be revised in the coming months to reflect the changes in departmental functions.
