1602 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has studied the report undertaken on behalf of Waterford Corporation in relation to the extension of the city boundary into Kilkenny; and if so, when he expects to make a decision in this regard. [17498/02]
My Department has had no communication from Waterford City Council concerning a proposed boundary extension. However, I understand that action is being taken at local level to initiate the formulation of a boundary proposal which, if advanced, would require the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Local Government.
