Ceist:

204 Mr. Allen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the amount paid since July 1997 to date in 2002 in fees, salary, allowances, including delegates' allowances, expenses and other payments to any person in or under the aegis of her Department who is or was a special adviser within the meaning of the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995; the name of the person in each case; the amount paid to each person; the breakdown as between salary, allowances, expenses and other payments; the date on which each person was appointed; in the case of persons no longer holding such position, the date on which the appointment ceased. The details of salary, allowances and expenses paid to those persons under the aegis of this Department who were or are special advisers, within the meaning of the Ethics in Public Office Act, 1995, are given for the period 26 June 1997 to date in the following tables.

No expenses were paid to Ms Clara Coogan during her tenure as policy aide nor have any expenses been paid to date to Ms Claudia McCarthy, personal assistant to Minister of State, Mr. Frank Fahey, TD.
Mr. Gerry Donnelly was paid an allowance totalling €7,284.44 while a special adviser to An Tánaiste.
No allowances have been paid to date to any of the other special advisers listed above.
In line with Department of Finance guidelines, contributions have been made into approved private pension schemes for the following:
