1707 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo is only receiving a child dependant payment rate for two children, when they have three dependent children. [16317/02]
The person concerned applied for an increase in farm assist, in respect of a child attending third level education. An application form issued to him in March, and he returned it to the local social welfare office. It was not dealt with due to an oversight.
The person concerned has now been awarded an increase in respect of his child dependant and arrears due from 1 April to 17 September amounting to €408.80 have been issued to him. Any inconvenience caused by the delay is regretted.
