Ceist:278 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive an extensification payment for 2001. [15871/02]

A payable order for €594.00 in respect of suckler cow based 2001 extensification premium issued to the person named on 12 September 2002. He is not an applicant under the 2001 special beef premium scheme and for that reason he is not due any extensification premium based on male animals. The person named was paid his full entitlements under the 2001 slaughter premium scheme, the 2001 suckler cow scheme and 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme.

Ceist:279 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will receive a special beef payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15917/02]
The person named applied under the 2001 special beef premium scheme on three animals. Total payment due under this scheme has issued – an advance of €326.40 issued on 26 October 2001 and the balance of €81.60 issued on 25 April 2002. A further payment of €5.40 top up issued 19 June 2002.
The person named was paid his full entitlements under the 2001 ewe premium scheme, the 2001 suckler cow premium scheme, the 2001 extensification premium scheme and the 2001 area-based compensatory allowance scheme.

Payment issued to the person named on 30 September. I am aware of the issues which she raised in correspondence and my Department has taken steps to improve the situation in the office concerned.
