301 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reasons an application for the early retirement scheme was not processed for persons (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if an appeal in this case can be arranged. [16099/02]
The application in this case under the early retirement scheme was rejected in May of this year on the grounds that one of the transferees was over the maximum age for eligibility. I understand that the decision has been appealed to the Agriculture Appeals Office, which is statutorily independent of my Department.
