Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Legislative Programme.

Enda Kenny

Ceist:

443 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance his Department's legislative programme for the remainder of 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14398/02]

The legislation programme for my Department is set out in the press release dated 7 October 2002 issued by my colleague, Deputy Hanafin, Government Chief Whip and Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach. The details of my Department's programme for the remainder of 2002 are as follows.

The Central Bank & Financial Services Authority of Ireland (No. 1) Bill, 2002, completed Second Stage in the Dáil on 19 June 2002. Second Stage of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission Bill, 2002, was taken in the Dáil on 26 June 2002 but the debate was not concluded. It is proposed to progress these Bills during the current Dáil session.

It is expected that the following Bills will be published during the current Dáil session: the National Development Finance Agency Bill, the Capital Acquisitions Tax Consolidation Bill, the Appropriation Bill and the Unclaimed Life Assurance Policies Bill.
