Ceist:

639 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has to walk three quarters of a mile to a collection pick up point for school transport, when the family was promised that when Toormeen national school closed, full transport would be provided to Bohola national school; and if this person can be picked up at home. [16494/02]

The school transport section of my Department has requested a report on this case from Bus Éireann. The Deputy will be advised of the position as soon as the report has been received and assessed.

640 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason finishing time for an amalgamated primary school for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has been changed; and if public transport will be provided for them at the earlier time of 2 p.m. [16502/02]

The school transport section of my Department has requested a report on this case from Bus Éireann.
