Ceist:

651 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Education and Science when the qualifications committee for further education and post leaving certificates courses, established under circular letter 32/92, will next meet to review and determine applications and appeals for the recognition of qualifications from participants in the system; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Education and Science (Mr. N. Dempsey):

The qualifications committee, established under the PCW agreement on pay and conditions of teachers to determine suitable qualifications – within the framework set out in Circular 32/92 – for appointment to permanent posts, meets as necessary on a number of occasions throughout the year.

It is proposed to hold the next meeting of the committee in November.
