Ceist:

850 Mr. Eamon Ryan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the strategic reasons for the buy-out of the remaining two-thirds of a factory (details supplied) by Coillte Teoranta in view of a company loss of ?15.240 million in 2001; and if his attention has been drawn to Coillte Teoranta's future management plans for the company. [17377/02]

The purchase of the factory, referred to by the Deputy, by Coillte Teortanta was considered by my Department to be of strategic importance to the company. The future management plans for the company are a matter for the board of Coillte.
