Delegation of ministerial functions orders are being prepared at present and will go to Government in the next two weeks. These orders will devolve the statutory powers for child care services to the Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, Deputy Brian Lenihan; services for older people to the Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, Deputy Callely; and mental health services, services for people with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities and responsibility for food safety to the Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, Deputy Tim O'Malley.
