901 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will assist Down Syndrome Ireland with funding for future projects; and if his attention has been drawn to the valuable work done by this organisation for children and adults with Down Syndrome. [15417/02]
I am aware of the excellent work undertaken by Down Syndrome Ireland. I met with representatives from the association in April 2002. A further meeting recently took place with a senior official from my Department to follow up on some of the issues which are of concern to the association, including funding.
