Phil Hogan

Ceist:

936 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received a report from the review group in respect of the provision of radiotherapy services; when such a service will be established at Waterford Regional Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15546/02]

Jimmy Deenihan

Ceist:

1082 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children when he intends to publish the report of the expert group on the development of radiotherapy services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16294/02]

John McGuinness

Ceist:

1154 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide a radiotherapy unit in the south east; if the report which was being prepared some time ago is now complete; if the report draws any conclusions relative to the location of such units in the regions; if he has agreed to provide such a unit in the south east; the timeframe involved in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16823/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 936, 1082 and 1154 together.

As the Deputies are aware, an expert review group on radiotherapy services was established to consider the provision of radiotherapy services nationally. All health boards, including the South Eastern Health Board, have been afforded the opportunity to meet with and make submissions to the group. It is anticipated that the report will be finalised shortly and will be published on completion. The provision of additional radiotherapy services will be considered in the context of the report of the expert working group.
