Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.
Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have had inquiries made of the authority and I have been advised that the individual concerned has been given a long-term bed in St. Monica's Nursing Home. I am further informed that the individual became resident there on 30 September 2002.

Ceist:948 Ms M. Wallace asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on whether it is good enough for a person (details supplied) to have to wait for an ENT appointment until 25 February, 2004; and the reason neither his Department or the relevant health board are able to do anything to assist in this situation. Responsibility for the provision of acute hospital services to residents of County Meath rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the NEHB to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply directly to the Deputy.
