1030 Mr. McHugh asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons a person (details supplied) in County Galway was refused completion of orthodontic treatment after some initial treatment had already been carried out by a consultant orthodontist in Galway Hospital in the Western Health Board area. [15985/02]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Galway rests with the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
