McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person with a mild intellectual disability, working in a hotel for 13 and a half hours per week, has been obliged to receive a letter from their employer stating that they are doing rehabilitative work to get their medical card sanctioned again; his views on whether this practice is demeaning and insulting to all people and families with a disability; and if a change in this practice will be brought about as soon as possible.
