McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children when the drugs refund scheme was first introduced; the amount payable monthly at that time by individuals who availed of the scheme; the cost to his Department of this scheme on an annual basis since its introduction; the increases on the refund threshold introduced since that time; the dates when those increases were made; and the savings to his Department by those increases.
