Ceist:

1109 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in providing treatment for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who was referred through school for orthodontic treatment; if the treatment recommended following x-rays will now be provided without delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Responsibility for the provision of orthodontic treatment to eligible persons in County Kilkenny rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
