Ceist:

145 Mr. Naughten asked the Taoiseach the tonnage of beef imported from outside the European Union in the past 12 months for which figures are available; the tonnage of such beef which was exported in the same period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16215/02]

The data requested by the Deputy is presented in the following tables. Table 1 gives the tonnage of beef imported from non-EU countries by country of origin and Table 2 gives the tonnage of beef exported to non-EU countries by country of destination. The corresponding values are also included for reference purposes.
