Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

1156 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department will grant a medical card to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny on medical grounds as that person is diabetic and requires constant medical attention; and if the application which was refused can be examined again. [16825/02]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card in this case rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
