McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children the numbers on the waiting list for hip operations in the Midland Health Board area; the numbers waiting up to three months, three to six months, six to nine months, nine to 12 months and over 12 months; and the average waiting time for patients before they get on those waiting lists. Details of the waiting times for patients before they are put on in-patient waiting lists in the Midland Health Board are not routinely collected by my Department. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the Midland Health Board to supply the information on waiting lists and waiting times directly to the Deputy.
