Ceist:

1332 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a person (details supplied) acted in a fair and honest manner in all his dealings with the State; and if he will issue a statement to clear this person's name in the interests of his family and in the interests of truth and justice. Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell):

The Deputy will be aware that the person in question is a former member of the Defence Forces. I would not be in a position as Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to make an adjudication of the kind referred to by the Deputy and, accordingly, I have no proposals to make a statement of the kind requested.
