Ceist:1375 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will have an application for a certificate of naturalisation approved. [16169/02]
Written Answers. - Naturalisation Certificates.
An application for a certificate of naturalisation from the person referred to by the Deputy was submitted to my Department on the 31 October 2001.
The average processing time for an application for naturalisation is 15 months at the present time and it is therefore likely that the application of the person concerned will be finalised towards the end of this year. As soon as I have reached a decision on the matter, both the applicant and the Deputy will be informed of the outcome.
