1397 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the individual non-governmental organisations funded or grant-aided under the various schemes run by his Department; the amount provided; and the purpose for which it was provided, in the last full year for which information is available. The Deputy will be aware that my Department has a broad remit of responsibilities and that consequently a wide variety of community-voluntary groups obtain the support of my Department. In this light, the details requested in relation to payments by my Department to non-governmental organisations are too extensive for inclusion on the normal electronic system for replying to parliamentary questions. I have, however, made arrangements to have the information delivered to the Deputy in manuscript form on today's date. Due to the large amount of data involved in respect of childcare, prisons authority, probation and welfare service and the time scale for answering parliamentary questions the divisions will forward the information directly to the Deputy, under separate cover.
