1408 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the vacancies in clerical positions in Castlerea Prison; the number of people seeking a transfer to this area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17002/02]
There are six clerical posts at Castlerea Prison, four of which are vacant at present, and there is no clerk 2 seeking a transfer to Castlerea Prison. However, there is a panel of officers qualified for promotion to clerk 2 in existence and these posts will be offered in order of merit to the candidates on this panel.
