Vol. 556 No. 2

Adjournment Debate Matters.

Acting Chairman

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Kehoe – to ask the Minister for Education if he is aware that the stay in school retention initiative has been replaced by the school completion programme and if he will make some concession to allow New Ross vocational college to be fully funded under the school completion programme; (2) Deputy Finian McGrath – the issue of Dublin Bay and the proposed 52 acre infill by the port company; (3) Deputy Hayes – the need for the Minister for Health and Children to say what plans he has to grant extra funding to the South-Eastern Health Board to allocate extra staff to Our Lady's Hospital in Cashel, where a work to rule is taking place; and (4) Deputy Keaveney – the need to adopt policies which will increase Garda visibility on our streets through adequate manpower levels and resources with special regard to Border locations such as Inishowen.

The matters raised by Deputies Kehoe, Finian McGrath, Hayes and Keaveney have been selected for discussion.
