Vol. 556 No. 3

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Brian O'Shea

Ceist:

270 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Finance his proposals to deal with the frequent flooding of the main Waterford-Tramore roads; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20424/02]

Measures to alleviate flooding on the Waterford to Tramore Road are contained in the proposed flood relief scheme for John's River, Waterford city. This scheme was placed on public exhibition from 26 March to 19 April 2002 in accordance with the Arterial Drainage Acts. Observations received during and after the public exhibition, which could affect the design of the scheme, are being carefully examined by the Commissioners of Public Works.
