420 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which extra facilities have been identified as a requirement at Scoil Iognáid Rís, Naas, County Kildare; the progress in relation to addressing these needs in the past 12 months, on a monthly basis. [20600/02]

Stage two outline sketch scheme has been examined within my Department's post-primary building unit. It was necessary to seek clarification on a number of items from the school's design team regarding this submission. A response has been received and is being considered.

On completion of this examination and subject to all being satisfactory, the question of allowing the project to proceed to stage three developed sketch scheme will be considered in the light of capital allocation for 2003, existing commitments and competing priorities.

422 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which extra facilities have been identified as a requirement at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare; the progress in relation to addressing these needs in the past 12 months, on a monthly basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The building project to provide the necessary additional accommodation at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare, is currently in construction.

423 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which extra facilities have been identified as a requirement at Coláiste Cois Life, County Dublin; the progress in relation to addressing these needs in the past 12 months, on a monthly basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A project is being progressed through architectural planning at present to provide a new school for Coláiste Cois Life, Lucan, County Dublin. Approval was given in July 2002 to the school authority, County Dublin Vocational Educational Committee, to proceed to stages four and five of architectural planning, detail design and preparation of the bill of quantities and other contract documentation. Prior to commencing stages four and five documentation, County Dublin Vocation Educational Committee submitted its planning application to the local authority and it is expected that planning permission for the school will be granted in the near future. The stages four and five submission has not yet been received in my Department.

427 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which extra facilities have been identified as a requirement at north Kildare school project, Celbridge, County Kildare; the progress in relation to addressing these needs in the past 12 months, on a monthly basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department signed the contract for the permanent building project for North Kildare Together School earlier this year and construction work is under way.

429 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which extra facilities have been identified as a requirement at Confey College, Leixlip, County Kildare; the progress in relation to addressing these needs in the past 12 months, on a monthly basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has recently authorised the chief executive officer of County Kildare VEC to re-tender for the covered walkway facility at Confey College, Leixlip. There is at present no application with the Department for additional accommodation at the school.
