The information requested is not compiled in the format sought and is not readily available therefore. It would require a disproportionate and inordinate amount of Garda time and effort to prepare which, as I know the Deputy will appreciate, would not be justified in circumstances where there are significant demands on Garda resources.
However, I draw the Deputy's attention to the Garda Síochána annual reports which have been lodged in the Oireachtas Library. The reports contain comprehensive statistics on drugs offences and related matters, including statistics in relation to the nationality of persons against whom proceedings commenced and on the number of importation offences.
