610 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when an application for grant assistance submitted by a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary for crèche facilities will be approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19875/02]
I am pleased to advise the Deputy that I have approved grant assistance of €49,715 to this applicant to help her construct a new child care facility in her area. The grant recipient has been notified of my decision and the next step will be for the applicant to enter into a contract with ADM Limited in relation to the project. This funding is made available under the equal opportunities childcare programme, which has a total fund of €437 million of European Union and the Exchequer moneys to support the development of child care facilities.
