128 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Finance the progress to date in the negotiations between Dublin City Council and the Office of Public Works in relation to the purchase of a site for Gaelscoil Cholmcille in Dublin 9; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21013/02]
The Commissioners of Public Works act as agent on behalf of the Department of Education and Science in the acquisition of sites for new school facilities. Negotiations for the acquisition of a site for Gaelscoil Cholmcille have been ongoing between representatives of the Commissioners of Public Works and Dublin City Council since July of this year. A further meeting has been scheduled for next week to advance these negotiations further. A report will be forwarded to the Department of Education and Science for its consideration on completion of the negotiations.
