Ceist:

157 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will conduct an investigation into the case of a person (details supplied); if the hospital will arrange for this person's ongoing care and treatment and delay their discharge into the community until all of these issues are resolved; the treatment available for such people in view of their state of health and the fact that this person is essentially homeless; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the care arrangements for Ms Helen McKenna as referred to by the Deputy rest with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
