177 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if there are plans to downgrade the status of Cabra Garda station; the discussions or consultations he or members of his staff have had on the matter. and if he can give the local community assurances that there will be no reduction in the service provided by the garda in the area. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that there are currently no plans to downgrade the status of Cabra Garda station. Furthermore, I have been assured that the Garda authorities will continue to appraise the policing and administrative strategy employed in the Cabra area with a view to ensuring that an effective Garda service is maintained.
