Vol. 556 No. 5

Adjournment Debate Matters.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputies Coveney and Murphy – the need to discuss plans for the future of Cork Airport, its management structures and the financial framework under which it will operate; (2) Deputy Broughan – the need to consult the community of Donaghmede parish, Dublin 13, regarding the location and size of a regional probation office proposed for Donaghmede shopping centre; (3) Deputy Neville – the Minister's response to a submission received from the Children's Rights Alliance regarding action to be taken by the 29th Dáil to end child poverty; (4) Deputy Hoctor – the need to extend the national breast screening service to the mid-west and to outline how the service will operate so that the women of north Tipperary may be confident that they will have a speedy and effective service locally in view of the recent withdrawal of the mammography service at Nenagh General Hospital; (5) Deputy Cuffe – the need to bring forward legislation to abolish the dual mandate for Deputies; (6) Deputy Andrews – the need to review the decision to exclude St. Laurence Col lege, Loughlinstown, from participation in the school completion scheme in view of the deleterious effects such exclusion will have on student numbers at the college.

The matters raised by Deputies Hoctor, Coveney and Murphy, Broughan and Cuffe have been selected for discussion.
