8 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the name of the person who heads the EU Co-ordination Committee on EU policy matters; the number of times the committee meets; the terms of reference of the committee; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20669/02]
The Department's EU co-ordination group is chaired by the Assistant Secretary with responsibility for EU Affairs, Mr. Bart Brady. The group is comprised of officials who are engaged at policy level in negotiations on various aspects of the Common Agricultural Policy. The group meets every two to three weeks to review current developments and to ensure an informed and co-ordinated response to EU negotiations at all levels.
