175 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of staff and the square footage occupied by each of his offices in Roscommon town; his plans in the short-term to improve these conditions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22724/02]
My Department occupies two offices in Roscommon town, in Church Street – 3,000 square foot approximately – and Circular Road – 7,000 square foot approximately. There are 14 staff attached to the Church Street offices and 67 staff attached to the Circular Road offices. The Office of Public Works has applied for planning permission for new offices for my Department in the town and it has been asked to consider placing portacabins on the grounds of Circular Road to temporarily accommodate some staff.
