203 Mr. O'Dowd asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the moneys available in his Department for the RAPID programme; the requests he has received for funding of the RAPID programme; the funding which has been granted to the RAPID programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22667/02]
The RAPID programme, Revitalising Areas through Planning, Investment and Development, is a focused initiative by Government to front-load national development plan funding and improve the delivery of services in the 45 most disadvantaged areas in the country. As none of the proposals from the areas in question falls within the remit of the Department of Foreign Affairs, there are no funding implications for my Department under this programme.
