Vol. 557 No. 4

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Dan Boyle

Ceist:

395 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reasons a person (details supplied) has been twice refused a visitor's visa to come here to visit her son, now a naturalised Irish citizen married to an Irish citizen, and her unseen grandchild. [22187/02]

The visa application in question was refused because it had not been established, on the basis of the documentation supplied to my Department, that the applicant would observe the conditions of a visitor's visa. It is open to the applicant to appeal against the refusal by writing to the visa appeals officer in my Department. The immigration division, which includes the visa office, has moved to 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.
