399 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí deployed for illegal substance detection in the Carlow-Kildare Garda division; the stations they are attached to; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22207/02]
I have been informed by the Garda authorities responsible for the detailed allocation of resources to individual areas that the number of gardaí attached to the drug units in the Carlow-Kildare division is 11. The gardaí in question are attached to Naas, Kill, Clane, Newbridge, Kildare and Carlow Garda stations. All gardaí in the Carlow-Kildare division have responsibility, inter alia, for illegal substance detection.
