272 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a proposal from the City of Dublin VEC arising out of the memorandum of understanding between the education and youth services in the cities of Belfast, Dublin and Boston; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that I have received the proposal from the City of Dublin VEC referred to by the Deputy and that it is being examined by relevant sections of my Department. In this context, officials from the North-South co-operation unit of the Department met with an official of the City of Dublin VEC recently to discuss the various objectives contained within the proposal. A decision will be given in relation to the proposal as quickly as possible.
