327 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Health and Children if the export review group on cancer services has submitted the report; when the findings will be published; if the Limerick Regional Hospital will be provided with a radiotherapy service for the mid-western region area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware, an expert review group on radiotherapy services was established to consider the provision of radiotherapy services nationally. All health boards, including the Mid-Western Health Board, have been afforded the opportunity to meet with and make submissions to the group. It is anticipated that the report will be finalised shortly and will be published on completion. The provision of additional radiotherapy services will be considered in the context of the report of the expert working group.
