Ceist:

388 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Transport the meetings which were held by his predecessor with representatives of taxi drivers in the 12 months prior to his predecessor leaving office; the dates on which such meetings occurred; the organisations and representatives involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23321/02]

From the information available to my Department, I am advised that my predecessor, former Minister of State, Mr. Robert Molloy, met representatives of taxi drivers on three occasions in the 12 months prior to his leaving office. The dates of those meetings and the groups involved are as follows: 25 July 2001 – SIPTU Taxi Branch, G. Brennan; 5 September 2001 – National Private Hire and Taxi Association, C. Humphrey, A Quilly and R. McGinley; and 29 November 2001 – Families Advocate Immediate Redress, T. Beegan, R. Fernadze and C. Darling.
