SECTION 6

Amendment No. 2 is a drafting amendment and amendment No. 3 is related.

I move amendment No. 2:

In page 5, subsection 2(a), line 13, to delete “gCuid” and substitute “bhfo-alt”.

These are two minor related technical amendments to section 6, one in the Irish language text and, consequently, one in the English language text. These amendments are necessary to reflect that the elements of the section are under "Refer ence" as a subsection rather than a part. They are technical.

SCHEDULE.
Question proposed: "That the Schedule be the Schedule to the Bill."

The Schedule consists of the text of the international agreement between the two Governments as constituted by an exchange of letters between the Irish and British Governments, signed by my colleague the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the British ambassador on Tuesday, 19 November. The Bill before you will give effect to this international agreement. This exchange of letters is supplementary to the British-Irish Agreement made in Belfast on 10 April 1998, the agreement establishing the North-South Ministerial Council made in Dublin on 8 March 1999 and the agreement establishing the implementation bodies made in Dublin on 8 March 1999.
