Vol. 558 No. 5

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Liz McManus

Ceist:

328 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the possibility of replacing Greystones Garda station, which is in an unsuitable condition and also has no disabled access, with a modern station which would serve the needs of An Garda Síochána and the growing population of the town; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25180/02]

At present there are no plans to replace the existing Garda station in Greystones.

As regards access to the station for the disabled, the Office of Public Works has a programme in place to provide disabled people with suitable access to all Government offices, including Garda stations, on a phased basis. The requirements of Greystones will be considered in this context.
