Ceist:

343 Mr. Healy-Rae asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the steps he intends to take to ensure a start date for the water treatment scheme for Waterville village, County Kerry as funding was allocated for this scheme more than three years ago; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25156/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 338 and 343 together.

A preliminary report for the Waterville water supply scheme, which has been included in my Department's water services investment programme 2002-04 to commence construction in 2004, was approved by my Department in June 2001. It is now a matter for Kerry County Council to prepare tender documents for the scheme.
