87 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if her attention has been drawn to the demands and objectives of the Community Platform for the new social partnership talks; if she has taken their calls and recommendations on board; and if she will make a statement on the matter. A wide range of proposals were put forward by the Community Platform as part of the Community and Voluntary Pillar for the purposes of discussions on a new social partnership agreement. A number of these are relevant to the development of services administered by my Department.
The discussions with all the social partners, under the chairmanship of the Department of the Taoiseach, are ongoing and it would not be appropriate for me to comment specifically on the proposals put forward by the Community Platform at this stage.
